Beginning April 25, 2025, Yellowstone National Park will open from several entrance gates. Big Sky is nearest to the West Yellowstone Entrance, and we will start offering tours in the park and observe newly born wildlife. April and May are an exquisite time to see cute, young elk, pronghorn antelope, bear cubs, and bison. If we are really lucky, maybe we will see wolf pups (most likely through a spotting scope).
Yellowstone National Park became our nation's first designated park through an act of congress in 1872. It was the abundant assortment of large wildlife and over 10,000 geothermal features that led people to safe-guard this area from future development so that future generations will have opportunities to experience Yellowstone's unique attributes. Our tours explore iconic and easy-to-get-to features like the Grand Prismatic, Old Faithful, Fountain, Great Fountain and numerous other hot springs and geysers in several geyser basins within the caldera. A caldera is a volcano type that forms a bowl shape after an eruption causes it to collapse inward. We provide a myriad of tours that explore different parts of the caldera system, which mostly resides in Yellowstone. Contact us to arrange a guided Yellowstone wildlife & geology tour or book a multi-day tour and explore all of Yellowstone.
