Hiking Around Yellowstone & Big Sky

Come explore Big Sky and Yellowstone by getting outside for a local hike! Discover the geology and wildlife that make this area unique! We offer a variety of day hikes around Big Sky that are about 2 hours in length and less strenuous to hikes that are up to 4 to 5 hours in length that are local or inside Yellowstone National Park. All of these hikes will vary in length and are based on the overall speed and fitness of the group. We stop and enjoy the scenery and talk about the geology, wildflowers, and look for wildlife. All hikes include transportation to and from lodging and is included in the timeframe. All post-hike refreshments include bottled water and snacks. Binoculars, and several sets of walking poles are also included on each trip. The guide will carry bear spray, water, binoculars, and a first aid kit. We offer local hikes to Ousel Falls, Crail Ranch Trail, Bee Hive Basin, and Yellow Mule. Longer hikes are also offered in the northwest corner of Yellowstone National Park and a short drive to get there. A park pass is not necessary. Hikes Offered: Ousel Falls - Beginner to Intermediate; about 2 miles (1 to 2 hours) Big Sky Crail Ranch Trail - Beginner; about 2.5 miles (1 to 2 hours) Bee Hive Basin - Intermediate to Advanced due to incline; 6miles (4 to 5 hours) Yellow Mule - Intermediate; 4 to 8 miles (4 to 5 hours) Specimen Creek - Intermediate; 4 to 6 miles (4 to 5 hours) Big Horn Pass - Beginner to Intermediate; 4 to 6 miles (4 to 5 hours) Black Butte Trail - Intermediate; 4 to 6 miles (4 to 5 hours) All hikes offered are at altitudes of greater than 6000 feet; therefore, are not recommended for folks who are not in hiking shape or have a heart condition. Although we offer short hikes based on the group's fitness level. To Book, choose a short hike (2 hours) or a longer hike (4 to 5 hours) and let us know how many people in your group such as 1-2 guests or up to 8 guests. All choices are on a drop down menu and pricing is based on time and number of guests. We also offer step-on hiking tours for large groups that have their own bus or van transportation. We can lead hikes in Yellowstone that are remote day hikes or near famous features. Short hikes start at $200 for 1 to 2 guests, while longer hikes are $350 for 1to 2 guests. Included are hiking poles, snacks, and water. Add more people the price is lower per person.
