Join us at Big Sky GOAT Tours for an unforgettable half day winter/summer wildlife and geology tour. A family friendly tour! Our unique trip showcases the spirit of southwest Montana and Big Sky, providing an exciting and dynamic experience for all ages. Explore breathtaking scenery, visit grizzly bears, wolves, and the ever-so-cute otters ($15 admission), and learn about the geological formations that make this area so special. Our knowledgeable guides will make sure you have a fun and educational experience that you won’t forget. Book your tour today. The tour includes exploring the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem area, but OUTSIDE of Yellowstone National Park. This tour is more local to Big Sky. We can add sledding or an exploratory hike to the tour. You can customize a 6-hour tour to fit your group's desires. Your tour guide, who is a Professional Geologist, will narrate along the way the wildlife and landscapes that we explore. We can include snow hiking on a boot-packed trail, sledding, building a snowman, or even stop at an old saloon. Weather conditions will impact what we see and where we go. We can depart your hotel between 7 and 10am. Our Mercedes Sprinter van seats 1 to 11 guests. For groups larger than 3 guests, we pick you up in the Sprinter van. All tours are private and include the use of binoculars, teaching tools, and warm comfy blankets. Snacks provided include nuts, granola bars, soda, and water. Meals are not included. Please pack a jacket or ski gear, comfortable walking shoes, warm hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and enthusiasm. All ages are welcome. Children under 60 lbs must have a child seat. To reserve a date for a tour, the tour price begins at $479 for 1 to 3 guests is required when booking. Please note that a 2.9% processing fee and a 4% resort tax is added at check out.

Cancellation Policy

To Cancel or Reschedule please contact us at least two weeks in advance of your scheduled tour to receive a full refund. Cancellations less than two weeks in advance will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations less than 48 hours from scheduled tour are not eligible for a refund. If you need to change your tour date, please contact us at least two weeks in advance to check for availability. The full amount of the tour and shuttle is due when booking. Please note that online payments include a 4% Big Sky Resort Tax and a 3% processing fee. All refunds will include a 3% service charge for credit card processing. Thank you.
